Chuck Todd: A new NBC poll shows that Biden is ‘getting a lift just from Donald Trump’s presence’

Chuck Todd, NBC’s Chuck Todd, discussed Sunday’s new NBC polling that showed The approval rating of President BidenHis popularity has increased, and he said that Trump’s presence was giving him a boost. 

Todd noted that Biden’s “remarkable” ability to achieve a 45% approval rate in Sunday’s NBC poll was impressive. He also pointed out the president’s low approval on several major issues like the border crisis and the cost to live. 

“So, what’s happening?” Todd asked. “One is the Dobbs decision. It’s clearly energizing both Democrats and all voters. Only 37% of Americans approve of Roe’s overturning by the Supreme Court. 61% of those who disapprove are not happy with that decision. The presence of Donald Trump is just as important for Bust, who is equally important to President Biden.     

Todd claimed that Republicans were preventing Republicans from “turning” the midterms into a referendum about Mr. Trump by pursuing investigations into former President Donald Trump. Biden.”

According to NBC, 54% of voters feel negative about Trump while 34% have positive feelings. 

Todd said that both parties were running campaigns they wanted to run.

“Republicans on crime economy and immigration are winning that battle with voters. “Democrats are running on Mr. Trump’s abortion rights, and that’s winning that battle with voters,” he stated.

The President’s approval ratingAccording to Quinnipiac, 31% was the lowest level at the end July. A Quinnipiac poll found that 40% of Americans approve that Biden is doing a good job as president in August.

The Wall Street Journal survey revealed that 60% of likely voters are in favor of legal abortion, compared to 55% in March. 

On Tuesday, Sen. Lindsey Graham (Republican from South Carolina) introduced a bill that would ban abortion after 15-weeks. 

Graham stated Tuesday that he sees this as a responsible alternative for the extreme position taken by Democratic senators. “I can guarantee that the overwhelming majority of Americans oppose abortion on demand, up to and including delivery.”

Fox News found that 80% of respondents agreed with the findings of a poll. Abortion is a major issue for voters. But it is still below inflation. 16% of voters were most motivated by abortion, 19% were driven by inflation.
