Chuck Schumer-linked offshoot group invests millions in Georgia Senate runoff

An offshoot group affiliated to the Chuck Schumer aligned Senate Majority PAC is pumping millions into this fund Georgia Senate runoff Save Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock

According to Federal Election Commission filings, Georgia Honor has spent nearly $14 million on ad buys and media production since Nov. 11. These funds have been used to support Warnock and attack his Republican opponent Herschel Walker over issues like abortion. The super PAC was one of the largest spenders in the Dec. 6 election. 

The SMP is an affiliated committee, and some media reports indicate so. However, there are many levels of connection between the SMP and Georgia Honor. SMP has given Georgia Honor $28 million of its funds as of mid October. Rebecca Lambe is also the treasurer for both groups. According to their records, they share a common address.

“After multiple years, over many campaigns, countless media reports, SMP’s site and our filings & statement of organization (with the FEC) show that Georgia Honor, a Senate Majority PAC affiliate group, is following every regulation governing federal PACs,” Veronica Yaein Yoo, spokesperson for SMP told Fox News Digital. “Given this level of transparency and the public record, this piece is head-scratching – but we will continue to operate in accordance with all election laws, as we have always done.”

Meanwhile, Lambe – the treasurer of both groups – also founded Majority Forward, a dark money nonprofit that is the biggest financial backer of SMP, which itself is the sole funder of Georgia Honor. 

Majority Forward was SMP’s most important donor for the event Midterm electionsThe filings show that at least $47million had been poured into this committee by Election Day.

Majority Forward is also closely associated with SMP. Majority Forward’s president is J.B Poersch. He is also an ally of Schumer. Both groups share a Washington, D.C. office with employees. Majority Forward has increased the amount of money available for salaries, IT security, and insurance.

Majority Forward was founded in 2015 as an operation to increase voter turnout. The non-profit One million dollars was earned between July 2020 and June 2021, its most recent tax forms show, which was a $13 million increase over its previous calendar year.

As Schumer publicly criticised the practice, Schumer-aligned organizations collected dark money. Schumer, who was aligned with Schumer on Sept. 19, called dark money “cancer” in saying that Americans should know who is spending billions to influence our democracy.

Schumer has now pushed for legislation against dark-money, after previously calling for it to be right-leaning. judicial groups make their donors public, even as Democrats simultaneously benefited from such groups.

New York Democrat also supported the For the People Act. It contains provisions that require political non-profits to disclose donors who have given more than $10,000. The bill also calls for nonprofits to file disclosure reports to the Federal Election Commission when they push more than $10,000 into election-related activities – much like Majority Forward, which obscures its financial backers. 

After the midterm elections, Democrats now hold 50 Senate seats and Republicans 49. It is possible that even more will be held by Republicans in the Peach State.
