Chuck Schumer, Senate Majority Leader, reacted to Democrats retaining control of the Senate. He tweeted: “This election was a victory and vindication Democrats, our agenda, and our accomplishments, as well as for America and its people.”
Schumer then tweeted a list of accomplishments that the party had achieved over the past two years, including the American Rescue Plan (and the Infrastructure Bill).

Schumer tweeted in response to Nevada results where incumbent Democratic Senator Catherine Cortez Masto was elected Beat Republican Adam Laxalt.
Schumer: “The American people rejected that anti-democratic authoritarian, nasty and divisive direction MAGA Republicans wanted to take the country.” Tweet.
Although the House was not called, Rep. Ilhan Omar reacted to the Senate results.

There are still 25 seats left unclaimed in the US House. For a majority, Democrats need 18 seats, while Republicans need eight.
