Chelsea fans will be rubbing their hands together with Christopher Nkunku in electric form during RB Leipzig’s win over Celtic.

The forward, aged 24, grabbed a through ball before circling Hoops goalkeeper Joe Hart. On 27 minutes, Hart slipped it in the net with his left leg.
Nkunku believed he had opened scoring earlier than that with a charming chip over Hart. However, a VAR review revealed the Frenchman was not offside during the build-up.
He nearly turned provider just before the break as his outrageous assist found Timo Werner, however, the former Chelsea man couldn’t get the ball past Hart.
Two minutes into the second period, the home team were beaten by Jota after Leipzig’s sloppy play.
Celtic were then given another VAR reprieve as Dominik Szoboszlai’s 20-yard effort was ruled out.
But just seconds after the decision was made Ange Postecoglou’s men fell behind as Andre Silva slotted home after Hart gave the ball straight to provider Szoboszlai.
Silva added another in 77 minutes, as Leipzig was crowned 3-1 winners.
While Celtic will be sorry for the Hart error, they were a deserving defeat on the balance.
And Nkunku was the standout performer, according to talkSPORT’s Matt Holland.
“Best player on the pitch, quite simply the best player on the pitch by a country mile,” Holland said on commentary for talkSPORT 2.
