China and Taiwan Want Elon Musk To Keep His Opinions Private

However, the unwelcome advice has been met with resistance from almost everyone.

The following is an InterviewMusk stated Friday in the Financial Times that Taiwan could be made a “special administrative area” like Hong Kong to resolve the conflict between China and Taiwan. He also noted that it “probably won’t make everybody happy.”

Taiwanese officials were quickly upset by the statement. One legislator threatened to boycott Tesla for advocating the proposal. Taiwan News reported Saturday. Musk’s involvement was also argued by other officials. China is a great place to do businessThe tech mogul can’t maintain an objective perspective on the conflict. 

Musk is expected to cooperate with him for business. However, the world is more worried about Taiwan’s democracy and human rights, according to Luo Zhizheng of the Legislative Yuan. 

The Chinese government reacted similarly. Musk’s comments were deemed “inappropriate”.Taiwan News reported on Saturday separately. According to CCTV News, a spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that “the Taiwan issue” is China’s domestic political issues and that the government will “resolutely subdue interference from foreign forces.” 

This is a far less extreme reaction than the ones of Ukrainian officials who decried Musk’s plan to make peace between Russia and Ukraine. The billionaire shared his thoughts via Twitter Monday as a poll.

 

Andrij Melnyk from Ukraine, the ambassador to Germany, responded with a tweet: “Fuckoff is my very diplomatic reply for you.”

Friday: The world’s wealthiest man Musk said that he is “trying to do what is right” with regard to the conflict in Ukraine. Musk said that SpaceX, Musk’s company, has shipped 15,000 Starlink kit kits to Ukraine by Musk’s SpaceX. This was in response to Russia’s invasion. SpaceX has already spent $80 million.
