CLEVELAND — Coach J.B. Bickerstaff wanted the second preseason game to be better than the first. The Cleveland Cavaliers watched the film from their first game against the Philadelphia 76ers and looked at the spacing, ball movement, turnovers and execution on offense and defense. Yet, the Cavs dropped their second preseason game to the 76ers 113-97 on Monday night.
“I don’t think we started the game out that way, for sure,” Bickerstaff said. “But I do think we figured it out and recognized what was happening and how do we solve it. So, that is an improvement. To have the ability to do that within the game and not wait to go get film and all that stuff to figure it out, so that’s improvement. But these games will give us different tests and different opportunities to learn, as a group, what we need to do, how we need to execute and what our opponents are going to bring.”
