Caring Cop Stops In ‘Busy’ Traffic Attempting To Save Tiny Pooch Hit By Car

Officer Joe Puglia, Pinellas Park Florida was driving to work when he saw a terrible accident. A small dog, which had been struck by a vehicle, was found lying dead in the middle of the road. Puglia feared that the dog was already dead so he stopped his patrol car and went out to investigate.

“My Heart sank,” Puglia Share. “He literally just slid and wasn’t moving so I thought he was dead.”

After his owner had wrapped an emergency blanket around the pup, the owner rushed him to an emergency veterinarian. He is expected to make a full recovery from minor injuries.

“In just a weekend, you’d think he and I have been together forever,” Coughlin shared.

Shannon Coughlin, an employee of the city, adopted him because he was without a microchip. To start with, she named the dog Rosco since she didn’t have a preference.

“In just a weekend, you’d think he and I have been Together forever,” Coughlin Share.
