Capitol Rioter who wanted to ‘Get Busted’ on Jan. 6 Pleads guilty

Two felony charges related to an insurrection were pleaded guilty by a Virginia man who claimed he would destroy media equipment outside of the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Haynes pleaded guilty Friday to one felony charge of obstruction of an oficial proceeding and one of destruction of property. Haynes could be sentenced to a maximum of 25 years for each of the charges, but his plea deal suggests that he will spend between 27-33 months in prison once he is sentenced.

Haynes stated in a separate text that Haynes had seen himself in video footage from the scene and noted that he kept his face covered.

“I want the government to bust me for tearing down the capital of the nation [sic]According to court documents, he wrote “the fake news”.

Prosecutors claimed Haynes assisted two other rioters in removing an air conditioning unit from a Capitol window, and then dropping it to the ground. 

According to reports, Haynes was admitted to the acts by a federal court on Friday. WUSA Law & Crime.
