California home broken into, safe containing 3 Olympic medals taken from US women’s volleyball member

Authorities Southern CaliforniaThree Olympic medals belonging the U.S. women’s soccer team were stolen in a home break-in last week. It was the second incident where a team member had their medal stolen this year. 

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department a Laguna Hills home was broken into in the evening of October 29th. The medals were being temporarily stored there. 

The medals – a gold, silver and bronze – belong to a member of the 2012, 2016 and 2020 U.S. women’s volleyball teams. They were inside a safe that had been taken. The gold medal was won by the volleyball team at the Tokyo Games, but it was delayed for a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 2012 London Olympics won the silver medal, while the Rio de Janeiro games in 2016 captured the bronze.

Three Olympic medals were stolen from a California home last month, authorities said.

Authorities said that three Olympic medals were taken from a California residence last month.

Authorities have yet to identify who the medals belonged. Fox News Digital reached out to the sheriff’s office. 

Investigators have yet to identify a suspect in this case. 

An earlier version of this year, Jordyn Puulter received a medal from the Anaheim barbershop owners. The Olympian Report it stolenOn May 25, she found her car had been broken into in a Anaheim parking lot.

It was found in a bag outside the barbershop and the owners handed it to police. 

According to police, the suspect in the case is 31 years old and has a “long criminal history.”
