Bucs’ Devin White takes shot at Saints’ Jameis Winston: ‘We just knew he’d give us the ball’

Tempers flared in Sunday’s game Between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints, and the rivalry and ultra-competitiveness continued when the game was over.

Devin White, Buccaneers’ linebacker, made a funny comment about Saints quarterback Jameis WinstonThe game was won by Tampa Bay, 20-10.

White stated that even though the game was close, all the team had to do was wait for Winston to make a mistake. White referred to the 30 interceptions Winston made in 2019 before he joined the Saints.

Jameis was a great player and everyone knows his last year. White explained that the defense was great and that he threw 30 picks. “We just knew he’d give us the ball, we knew the running backs cough it up. That’s something we came in talking about. As a ball club, we want to achieve 30 turnovers so this was another way to attack the ball.”

The Buccaneers profited from a major Winston error.

Tom Brady had theBreshad Perriman completed the touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. Mike Edwards returned an interception to score a touchdown.

Winston recorded three interceptions. He didn’t have any in the team’s Week 1 victory over the Atlanta Falcons.
