Bubba Wallace apologizes to Kyle Larson for the dangerous incident. ‘I intend on learning from this.

Bubba Wallace, NASCAR’s star driver, apologized Monday for his retaliation wrecking Kyle Larson and subsequent fight at the track. South Point 400 in Las Vegas.

Wallace addressed part of his apology at Larson and Christopher Bell who were caught up in the grievances between the No. 45 and No. 5 vehicles.

“My behavior does not align with core values that are shared by 23XI Racing and our partners, who have played a crucial role in my incredible journey to the top of this great sport,” Wallace’s statement read.

“I am sorry to NASCAR and all the fans, Joe Gibbs Racing, Christopher Bell and Toyota, for placing them in a Playoffs situation that they did not deserve.

“I compete with tremendous passion. Sometimes, frustration can accompany my passion. Reflecting on my actions, I realize that I should have represented our core values better by not allowing my frustrations to follow me outside of the car. “You live and learn. I will learn from it.”

The whole ordeal began in Stage 2South Point 400. Wallace, who was the Stage 1 winner, was racing side by side with Larson when Turn 4 occurred on the racetrack. It appeared that Larson had knocked Wallace into the wall.

Wallace bounced into Larson who was then sent down towards the apron. Wallace was seen following Larson down low, and appearing to deliberately spin Larson out. They both spun and crashed into the wall.

Wallace got out his car and ran toward Larson. He threw his helmet down and extended his arms, wondering what Larson’s deal was. Wallace then got into Larson’s face and pushed and shoved Larson on the infield grass before the brouhaha ended.
