Crush was criticized for being racist towards fans during a recent performance.
On social media, the viral video of Crush (South Korean pop star) walking away from fans has gone viral.
Crush is seen greeting his fans while standing next to the stage, but he strays from giving high-fives to a section of the audience. Many accused Crush of intentionally stepping out.
Crush, however, took to his Instagram account on October 10, 2022 to address the issue and issued an official apology.
“Hi everyone, I just wanted to address the issue revolving around the audience interaction from my performance last night at the 2022 SOMEDAY PLEROMA festival. I have been away for roughly two years and being able to perform on stage with my dearest fans in the audience was such an unforgettable and long-awaited experience, so I naturally and instinctively walked towards and reached down to the crowd,” he said in the statement.
“To avoid further misunderstanding, I would like to explain that I had to refrain from giving out high-fives with the fans in particular sections as a safety precaution,” the artist continued.
Fans were not impressed by this explanation. This post was liked by many, including Jung Ho-seok (BTS member) who collaborated on it with Crush. Rush HourMany were furious.
