BTS begins mandatory military service as a member Jin; ARMY offers support to members

Big Hit, BTS’s management company, stated on Weverse following their concert at Busan that the band would continue its plans for military service. Fans and members waited more than one year for South Korean authorities to decide.

But, members have made a decision to continue their service. Jin, who will turn 30 in December, will withdraw the request by the end of the month.

Issuing a statement, the label said, “BigHit Music is proud to announce today that the members of BTS are currently moving forward with plans to fulfill their military service. After the phenomenal concert to support Busan’s bid for the World Expo 2030, and as each individual embarks on solo endeavors, it’s the perfect time and the members of BTS are honored to serve.”

Jin will soon enlist, according to the statement. Jin, who is a member in the group, will start the process when his solo album release schedule has been completed at the beginning of October. The enlistment process of the Korean government will be followed by Jin.

Further, the label stated that other members would soon follow their lead. “Other members of the group plan to carry out their military service based on their own individual plans. Both the company and the members of BTS are looking forward to reconvening as a group again around 2025 following their service commitment,” it added.

BigHit Music has confirmed that the group will reunite in 2025, following their commitments. “Yet To Come” was more than a track off their latest album. They also stated, “It Is a Promise, There’s Much More to Come in the Years ahead from BTS,” reassuring that there is much to be excited about.

Big Hit Music released a statement saying that they would withdraw their request to delay Jin’s enlistment at end of the month, and would follow the administration’s procedures for enlistment.

ARMY is sad and will continue supporting the band even though BTS is trending indefinitely on Twitter. Fans promised to wait until the band reunites.

Jin will be the first to enlist. Suga, Jhope, RM and Jimin will follow, as well as V, Jungkook and V, according to their age.
