A British charityOn Wednesday, a record $226,000.600 was offered as a reward for the capture of the suspect in the murder of a 9-year old girl at her home.
Olivia Prattt-Korbel, a masked gunman that chased a burglar into her house, was shot to death in Liverpool, north England, on August 22. The family did not believe the two men to be related.
Olivia was killed by a gunshot to the chest during the struggle, while Cheryl Korbel, her mother, was injured.
Police arrestedNine men were involved in the investigation into her death. All have been released on bail.

The award of 200,000 pounds is the largest single financial incentive in the history and development of Crimestoppers. The body, which is not affiliated with the police, receives anonymous information about crimes.
Michael Ashcroft said, “This case was incredibly shocking, both for those directly affected and for Liverpool and for the nation as a total,” The charity’s founder. “A precious young life was taken, and we need to make every effort in finding those responsible for this terrible crime.”

According to police, the deadly confrontation began when a gunman shot at two men outside of the Korbel home. Police said that one of the men entered Cheryl Korbel’s home after she opened her door to check on what was going on. As Korbel tried to block the door, the gunman chased Korbel and opened fire indiscriminately on the house.
