After another disappointing result, Rodgers may have to look over his shoulder.

The Premier League’s worst record, it has the joint-worst. Rodgers’ job could be on the brinkFollowing a worrying lack in spending and poor results.

Leicester spent the least money in the league, losing Wesley Fofana to Chelsea for £70million, as well as key goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, whilst only bringing in Wout Faes at the back.

Rodgers was asked if he was feeling the heat and replied: “I know there’s always pressure there but it’s not something I think about.

“With experience I can regulate that. It’s really about going back, going away and analysing the game.

“Getting the players in next week and having another week’s good work, we’ve got two home games now and the next game is very very important for us.

Asked if he’s up for the challenge, he quickly said: “Of course.”

After a win against Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth lost to Bournemouth. They won their first game of the season with a 4-0 victory at King Power.

After a difficult day on the south coast, that potentially pivotal win is now a distant memory.

“It’s analysing and looking at where we can be better,” Rogers added.

“For me it’s our possession of the ball, gave away too many cheap balls, cheap passes, not doing the simple things well enough and then we get punished.

“Obviously the first goal comes from us having a throw-in, then we lose it cheaply then we’re on the back foot, and if you give the home team that momentum and then they had a little bit of a rally up from that.

“You’ve just got to keep working, analysing where we can be better, and certainly managing the ball in the second half was a key one.”
