This is a story of a Pit Bull that was blind and left to die in the woods. No one responded. Lucky Dog Refuge saved her life. They could see every bone in her body when she got up. It was absolutely soul-crushing. She was almost done with it as she became increasingly hungry. When rescuers arrived, she was still wrapped up in a ball trying stay warm while waiting for her angels.

They named her Halo. This name was chosen because she was in too great pain and almost had to be put to sleep. However, this was not the truth. But, the story is not over. We promise.

Before Halo came to live in Stacey’s home, she had lived in a foster home for medically ill children. Halo survived despite her health problems. While she was confirmed blind by her vet, Halo still wanted to be near people.
