The conclusion of Avengers: Endgame, Evans—an integral part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe—passed the shield—on to his successor, but that doesn’t mean one of our favorite heroes has completely unplugged from the MCU.

Evans continues to be a strong supporter of his friends-turned-family, and Wakanda Forever is no different.
Former Captain America shared the flame-engulfed hearts emoji on Twitter and is clearly as excited about it as everyone else. Black Panther 2We were taken back to Wakanda in this trailer, which gave us a closer look at life without King T’Challa. The extended glimpse at Namor, an antihero, and the mysterious Black Panther hero show that the MCU is on the verge of major changes.

Evans is excited to be back in Wakanda, even though the atmosphere is heavier than when we last visited.
The Wakandans’ loss on-screen is an analogous to the one experienced by the crew and cast when they had the difficult decision of saying goodbye to Chadwick, their heroic leader.
In the inevitably heartbreaking sequel, the Black Panther name will continue to live on through new storytellers and empowered voices—many of them female—as they join forces to deliver a beautiful story of achieving victory after the tragedy.
