After responding to a question from Dr. Jill Biden asking if he would be supporting her run for the office again in 2024, President Biden was subject to criticism via social media.
“Dr. Biden is in favor of it?” Jonathan Capehart of MSNBC Ask BidenA clip of Biden running in 2024 was aired on Friday. Biden looked down at the floor, then paused. Capehart responded with, “Mr. President?”
Biden stated, “Dr. Biden believes that, my spouse thinks so,” before pausing once more. “That we’re doing something very important, and I shouldn’t walk away from it.”
The clip was criticized on social media, including from Republican National CommitteeRonna McDaniel, chairwoman of the exchange, called it “scary”

Before being asked about Dr. Biden’s position on him running for president again, the 79-year-old president said that he has “not made that formal decision” but “it’s my intention to run again.”
Biden stated that he had “time to make that determination.”
