Before entering prison, Purdue University dorm killer confessed to murder: “I love my family.”

The suspect in the murder of a 20-year-old girl is being charged Purdue UniversityVarun Manish Chheda, a student, said that “I love my family” just before he was arrested for murder.

Tippecanoe County’s coroner Carrie Costello said in a statement, that Chheda was murdered by multiple sharp force traumatic injuries and that the manner of her death is murder.

Sha answered reporters’ questions about why he killed Chheda.

Lesley Wiete was the Chief of Purdue Police and stated during a press conference that the incident had been “unprovoked, senseless.”

Wiete stated that “This is extremely unfortunate and unfortunate for today, and I cannot even imagine what his families are going through at the time.”

Purdue University President Mitch Daniels stated that Chheda’s death has “deeply” affected the community.

Daniels stated that he was Purdue’s president and a parent himself, so he can assure him that students’ safety is his top priority. “Purdue is an extraordinarily safe place on any given day, and compared with cities of Purdue’s population (approximately 60,000 in all), we experience a tiny fraction of violent and property crime that occurs elsewhere.”

According to campus directories, Chheda was a student at Purdue’s College of Science. Sha is currently studying at Purdue University Polytechnic Institute.

Ian Conley from Purdue University, who also lives at McCutcheon, shared his story with Fox News Digital, saying that he learned about the incident after waking up.

“It was truly surreal. It’s still not sinking in. Conley explained that Conley woke up to news articles from my friends and was greeted by people who texted me to check on me. It’s just that it’s one those things you don’t expect to happen so close to home. It still takes time for it all to sink in, I think.

Lev Working, a Purdue student told Fox News Digital that he lives in McCutcheon hall and was on the floor where the incident occurred.

“I saw the email and was getting ready for my morning class when I noticed that there was a blue barrier or a barrier at the far end with a police officer in front. This was the moment it hit me, Working explained. “I was in shock.”

“And my initial reaction was that there was a crime just down the street from me. He said that he felt “pretty rattled, scared, and then sad” after this incident.

Dennis Bisgaard, Park Tudor School’s Interim Head, stated to Fox News Digital, that his community is “incredibly shocked” by Chheda’s passing.

Bisgaard expressed his sadness at the loss of Varun Choda, Park Tudor class in 2020. We send our condolences to his family during this difficult time.
