Australian Shepherd sent to ‘Herding camp’ by We Are So Here

Many breeds of dog were created hundreds of years ago to fulfill specific tasks and perform certain jobs. While this is less common nowadays and most dogs are happy to be pets, the breeds still have the same instincts and traits that made them skilled workers. One couple chose to teach their dog about his breed.

Recently, @mochistails shared a video about a camp that featured Mochi, an Australian Shepherd. In the video, Mochi’s parents enroll him in a “herding camp” so that the young dog can practice herding sheep, as his breed was bred to do. You can see the camp and watch Mochi herd like an expert!

Wow! This is amazing! We love how the dog parents created such a fun environment for their pet. We are so glad that Mochi had fun!

The idea was loved by the commenters. @samweddle50 said, “This is wildly wholesome. I bet he had so much fun!” Another user, @_recyclable commented, “This is the sweetest thing you could’ve done for your herding dog. You invested into their happiness and passions—next level bonding.” We love to see dogs have fun experiences like this!

Others were interested in signing their dogs up for the same camp. @lkaygardner commented, “Everyone with a herding breed and the means should do this!” and @cloudgorl said, “Omg I need this for my baby Border Collie!” This seems like such an enriching experience for the dogs!

We can’t stop watching this video. Mochi is a natural sherder as he was able to feel at home in the sheep-filled pasture. Mochi should soon be able again to travel.
