German track and field star Alica Schmidt had a summer she’ll never forget as she looked back before the hard graft begins again.
She was 23 years old when she took part in the European Games in Munich, August. She also had a great time rubbing shoulders with famous faces as she flew around the world.
Schmidt was a personal trainer. Borussia DortmundAfter being excluded from the Tokyo 2020 squad in 2020, she fought her way back to the top during the 2020-21 seasons.
The 400m star started her summer with her first World Championships. She was heartbroken in the first round.
After finishing fifth in heats, she was unable to qualify for the final 4x400m mixed relay.
She still impressed enough to be selected for the European Games squad. In the semifinals, she was eliminated.
After taking a well-earned vacation in Thailand, Schmidt attended Milan Fashion Week. Here she swapped the ocean for the runway.
It was in Italy that she photographed alongside British boxing champion. Anthony JoshuaNaomi Campbell, American model and Future, American rapper
And she even went to Paris Saint-Germain forward NeymarBerlin Promotional Event
Schmidt shared a video on social networking that she uploaded after an amazing summer. She included her favorite bits.
Caption the post Instagram, she said: “Will never forget this summer.
“Thailand. Fashionweek. Milano. Paris. Neymar. Naomi Campbell. Future. Munich2022. Track and field. Sprint.”
The video featured her in action for Germany and relaxing in Asia while on holiday.
Schmidt’s attention will now undoubtedly turn towards making Germany’s Paris 2024 Olympic squad.
In a recent post on Instagram, she told her 3.2 million followers: “Off season is almost over but I‘m really looking forward to training and preparing for 2023 again.
“In my off season I still continued to eat my proteins and my muscles as best I could without to receive training.”
