Arizona’s Maricopa Country election officials address the ballot issues during Kari lake, Blake Masters lawsuit

Arizona’s Maricopa County Elections Department has addressed an Election Day IssueNumerous polling stations ran out paper ballots, which affected tens and thousands of votes.

They claimed that all ballots would be counted securely, accurately and correctly.

“In the last 24 hours we have gained more information about the printer problem that prevented some ballots from being read at VoteCenters yesterday. Although the issue affected less than 7% of Election Day voters (17,000 ballots), it was still frustrating and inconvenient for those who had to go through it.

The chairs addressed one issue: the correct operation of the ballot-on demand printer machines. During the primaries.

“The settings used for the Ballot On Demand printers at Vote Centrs were the same as those used in the August Primary. The paper had the same thickness. The statement stated that the Elections Department had tested hundreds of ballots before the General Election and found no issues.

The statement continued, “We are determined to find out what factors caused issues at 70 Vote Centers Tuesday.”  We are grateful for the county techs that found a solution by changing printer settings.

“The good thing is that election administration has builtin redundancies — backup plans when things don’t go as planned. This ensures that all valid votes can be counted, even if technology malfunctions. The printer issue affected voters had many options to vote yesterday. They could drop their completed ballots into a secure box (door 3 on site), they said. “Those ballots will first be validated and tabulated at MCTEC. This process is already in progress.”

Arizona only uses paper ballots. They do not use electronic scanners to make ballots count. This often leads to delays such as in Maricopa County.

“Once this election is over, we will be able to find the root cause so it doesn’t happen again,” concluded the pair. “We remain confident in our ability to accurately and securely recount every vote.

The results of Arizona’s gubernatorial race are between Republican Kari LakeThe cases against Democrat Katie Hobbs, and Democrat Sen. Mark Kelly are still pending. The Senate race between Democrat Senator Mark Kelly and Republican challenger Blake Masters remains pending. 

Campaigns for Lake, Masters, and the Republican National Committee are currently suing Maricopa County in Arizona over issues with voting tabulation machines.
