Arizona grandma mistakenly texts man to tell him she wants to celebrate Thanksgiving with her family for the seventh year in a row since 2016.

A man from Arizona will be celebrating the seventh consecutive year. Thanksgiving DayA woman invited him wrongly to her annual turkey dinner. The tradition has become a family tradition for the ex-strangers.

Americans have been following Jamal Hinton of Phoenix and Wanda Dench for seven years. Hinton continues to share their story on Twitter.

“To answer all of your questions, no, Thanksgiving year 7 has been planned out!” Hinton tweeted this week. “See you guys Thursday!”

Hinton and Dench’s story first gained viral attention in 2016, when Dench accidentally texted Hinton an invitation to Thanksgiving dinner, which was meant for her grandson. They are no longer strangers. Missed a holiday together.

Dench shared her sixth Turkey Day with Hinton in 2021.

Hinton stated to the station, “She’s an amazing person.She is the best.”

Hinton realized Dench’s 2016 text was a mistake after Dench sent a photo of herself to confirm if whether she was Hinton’s actual grandmother.

“[You’re]Hinton replied laughingly, “Not my grandma!”

Hinton sent Dench a selfie to let her know he wasn’t her grandson. Dench asked him if he would like to stop by for dinner. Dench opened her arms to him. 

Last year, Hinton posted a video on YouTube documenting the 2020 dinner he and his girlfriend shared with Dench – months after Dench’s husband Lonnie reportedly died from complications of COVID-19.

“I want you to know how grateful I am to all of those who have helped me.” They sent their blessingsDench expressed his condolences to Dench and offered his well wishes for him in the video.

“…It’s still going to take a lot of time…but when I get visits from these guys, it really perks me up,” she said.

Hinton and Dench apparently have more than one special occasion together, including Thanksgiving. On Sept. 8, Hinton retweeted a video that Dench posted which announced that she had gotten her first tattoo at the age of 65.

“Guess, who went with my?” Dench captioned the video, in which Hinton appears alongside.

On February 13, Super Bowl 2022,Dench tweeted a photo showing herself sitting next to Hinton and captioned the picture: “GO RAMS !!!”.”

Hinton announced on Twitter, one week after last Thanksgiving, that he would be teaming up with streaming service Netflix.

Hinton wrote that “We are grateful to each and every one of you for your love, support, and encouragement in our journey these six years.” “We can’t wait to tell our story on the big screen!”
