Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are locked in a legal dispute over Chateau Miraval. This French winery was purchased by the couple more than a decade back.
On Tuesday, October 4th 2022, the actress filed countersuit against her husband. This lawsuit includes more details about an alleged physical fight between them which occurred on a plane in 2016.
As per VarietyThe actress’s legal team provided some additional details regarding the incident that involved Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and their children.
Brad Pitt sued the actress earlier this year for violating contractual rights, after she sold half the French winery to him without his knowledge.
In the countersuit, Angelina Jolie’s lawyers claimed discussions with the actors’ team about selling her side of the company broke down after Brad made a demand that she sign “a nondisclosure agreement that would have contractually prohibited her from speaking outside of court about Pitt’s physical and emotional abuse of her and their children.”
The countersuit reads, “Pitt grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her, and then grabbed her shoulders and shook her again before pushing her into the bathroom wall.”
“Pitt then punched the ceiling of the plane numerous times, prompting Jolie to leave the bathroom,” the court document continued.
The countersuit also stated that Pitt allegedly got physical when one of their kids came to Jolie’s defense, “When one of the children verbally defended Jolie, Pitt lunged at his own child and Jolie grabbed him from behind to stop him. To get Jolie off his back, Pitt threw himself backward into the airplane’s seats injuring Jolie’s back and elbow.”
The court document added, “The children rushed in all bravely tried to protect each other. Before it was over, Pitt choked one of the children and struck another in face.”
