Amazon Prime Video Orders: The sequel collection Blade Runner 2099

Between The Wheel of Time The Lord of the Rings – The Rings of EnergyAmazon has made a big bet on fantasy. Prime Video has also made a huge bet on science fiction. Through The Hollywood ReporterPrime Video has been officially ordered Blade Runner 2099The sequel collection, “The Movies,” was launched by Ridley Scott 40 years ago.

Scott headed the unusual Blade Runner in 1982, which was loosely primarily based on Philip Ok. Dick’s 1968 sci-fi novel Do Androids Wish for Electrical Sheep or Are They Just Dreaming?. Harrison Ford starred as Rick Deckard, a “Blade Runner” who was employed to trace down six renegade Replicants, human-like androids who displayed way more humanity than Deckard himself. Ford returned to the position in 2017 for director Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049, which targeted on Ryan Gosling’s replicant Blade Runner, Ok.

Because the title means: Blade Runner 2099This will take place 50 years after the events Blade Runner 2049. Given Deckard’s age and the destiny of Ok throughout the movie, neither appear more likely to return for the sequel collection. Other details are not known at this time, but Scott will government produce it via Scott Free Productions in association with Alcon Leisure.

Blade Runner 2049Scott will be accompanied by author Michael Inexperienced, but Inexperienced won’t have any writing positions at the moment. You can substitute. Shining Women Silka Luisa, showrunner, can hold the same position on Blade Runner 2099. Her credit history includes the Paramount+ collection Halo Unusual Angel.

For now, Blade Runner 2099 doesn’t have a launch window on Prime Video. Due to the long lead times required for missions like these, it will not be launched until 2024 or 2030.
