Amanda Kloots on the inspiration for her holiday film and keeping late husband Nick Cordero’s memory alive

Amanda Kloots, a fitness instructor, stars in her first movie just in time to celebrate the holidays.

Kloots (40) spoke to Fox News Digital regarding her holiday movie, “Fit for Christmas,” as well as the inspiration behind making a Christmas movie about fitness. Paul Greene and Stephan Miers are also featured in the film.

Kloots, who lost her husband in July 2020, shared that she was struggling to sleep at night. Nick Cordero, who passed away after battling COVID-19.

She continued, “I woke up one morning, and it was about 3 a.m. It was the height of the pandemic.”

Co-host of “The Talk”, she recalled seeing a holiday film and getting the idea for her own movie.

“They’ve never seen a Christmas movie together with a trainer. It’s a good idea. Kloots said that people love staying fit and, especially, during holidays, it’s a popular theme.

The fitness guru revealed that she had connected with the writer of Fit for Christmas “through the power and social media”, who was there during her pitch to CBS. Kloots is co-creator, executive Director and star of the film.

“Fit for Christmas” marks Kloots’ debut into filmmaking.

Kloots said that she was nervous when Kloots took on the role.

“This movie is influenced in a lot by my life. She continued, “That was also fun and really enjoyable to be a part,”

Kloots has been on Broadway 17 years. However, Kloots said she was a “dancer” in the theatre world. This led her to hire an acting coach prior to the show. “Fit for christmas”The team started filming in Vancouver this summer.

“I am beyond excited,” she stated about the film. “I’m so excited for people to see it. Also, I want people to see me in a new way.

Kloots said that she fell in love with the art of acting, producing, and the whole filmmaking process.

Kloots has explored new business opportunities, but she remains focused on her original business, Amanda Kloots Fitness. She teaches a Zoom fitness class every Saturday as well as occasional in-person classes.

While filming, I taught one in Vancouver. She said that she teaches whenever she’s back in New York.

“’Did I listen to music first thing in the morning?’ That’s because Nick taught me that. Elvis is taught that we always hug Nick’s pillow before we go to bed each night and that we also talk to Dad about the day.

Kloots described the grieving process as an onion. You can cut or peel off a new layers, and that is when you start to cry.

She said, “You can put that onion in the fridge and then the next thing you need it for is a recipe and you slice another layer, it will make you cry.”

Kloots was captivated by motherhood after the June 2019 birth of Elvis and she decided to make a book for children.

Kloots stated that she was trying to get Nick in as many situations for Elvis as possible and created the children’s story.

“Tell Me Your Dreams” is inspired by Kloots’ own bedtime rituals that she and her late husband shared with Elvis. The book is due to be published in April 2023.

CBS debuts “Fit for Christmas,” Dec. 4.
