Amadou onana celebrates Everton winning their first season. He filmed video on fan’s phones as the midfielder won over West Ham.

Amadou Onana’s decision to not join West Ham this summer appears to be the right one.

The midfielder joined Everton instead in a £33million deal from Lille, and he enjoyed getting one over on the Hammers on Sunday.

The Toffees’ 21-year-old played all 90 minutes at Goodison Park. A 1-0 win was achievedNeal Maupay scored the winning goal.

Onana was delighted to help his team win their first win of the season. They moved up to 13th.

After the whistle blew, he was enjoying his win with the crowd and grabbed one their phones to record the celebrations.

Onana is an extremely popular player, even though he only played a few games.

The Toffees won seven Premier League matches without a win, which was the longest wait since 2010/11 for their first league win.

Everton has also maintained back-toback clean sheets in Premier League since May 2021, when Carlo Ancleotti took over.
