Already, injuries are a problem for the Nets. They have already suffered injuries. Can they prevent them from defining the season for us?

It’s been the question that has followed Steve Nash and the NetsIn 2020, the Hall of Fame point guard was made head coach.

Can the Nets keep their health in the season?

Injuries and attrition have ravaged Brooklyn’s roster the past two seasons, which has prevented the team from developing chemistry and continuity. With two preseason games left and opening night roughly a week away, the Nets’ bout with injuries has followed them into the preseason.

On Tuesday, Nash spoke to reporters Joe Harris will miss Wednesday’s preseason game in Milwaukee due to a sore foot, but will travel with the team. Seth Curry, who was seen jogging from one baseline to another at the end of Tuesday’s practice, won’t play in either preseason game this week. At the start of training camp, Nash originally expressed optimism that the 6-foot-2 shooting guard could play in Brooklyn’s preseason finale, which comes Friday in Minnesota. Harris’ status for that game is unknown. The Canadian floor general wasn’t certain about Curry’s availability for next week’s opener against New Orleans.

“Seth is still progressing, doing some light contact, no five-on-five yet,” Nash said. “He won’t play this week but hopefully it’s not long. …We’ll see. I might find it too difficult to commit right now. But we’ll see how it goes.”

Nash could be going into the regular season without two of his top 3 complementary scorers.
