All hail Prince Aemond – the House of the Dragon’s ultimate drama King

House of the Dragon This main conflict is about who will sit on Iron Throne. But there is another royal competition brewing under this main conflict: Who will be crowned true drama king in the Seven Kingdoms.

To be a drama king, there are some prerequisites. You must be a drama king by first and foremost having a flair for the dramatic. You must also be entertaining to watch. Third, you have to be a good watcher. One famous example of this is “An Example of a House of the Dragon Drama is the king Crabfeeder (Daniel Scott Smith). The striking gold mask and carnivorous crabs of, make a Westerosi Bond villain.

Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) is the original drama king. Daemon has been a constant presence throughout the series. stolen a dragon egg, Charge All by itself into enemy territoryHis niece was named King of Narrow Sea by him. At her weddingHe murdered his wife while wearing a sinister murder costume. He has been collecting drama points, but “The Lord of the Tides”, episode 8 shows that a new challenger has emerged.

Prince Aemond Targaryen (Ewan Mitch) is the challenger. This young Daemon combines extreme pettiness with the volatility of a Daemon. The aesthetics of an anime character. The end result is quite unhinged and, as with many villains in the past, it is very entertaining to see.

Leo Ashton portrays Aemond when he first meets him as a child. He’s bullied and teased by his brothers for not having a dragon. A scene where they gift him with a pig with wings is genuinely sad — you can’t help but feel for him! Aemond, however, is a wonderful person! Way Vhagar is the oldest and largest living dragon and so he overcompensates. He loses one eye in a fight with his Velaryon cousins and nephews. Aemond insists that he’s won a dragon but the eye-gouging is still a problem between Rhaenyra’s and Alicent’s families (Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke).

He lost one eye but got a dragon.

This wound persists and festers for six years, as Aemond goes from a dragon-obsessed kid to an adult threat. In a few fights, he beat Ser Criston Cole (“Fabien Frankel”) instantly. He gives Jacaerys Velaryon (Harry Collett, Elliot Grihault), a piercing stare of death. He is accessorizing with a trendy, leather eye patch. He’s sticking to his principles. The look of a drama king.

Do yourself a favor and watch back through “The Lord of the Tides,” this time paying extra special attention to Aemond whenever he’s onscreen — even in the background. His drama is simply breathtaking. Mitchell is smirking and pursing his lips like his life is on the line. It is a glorious, villainous moment. It is amazing to see the expression of amazement and excitement on Mitchell’s face when Daemon shaves Vaemond Velaryon (Wil Johnson’s) head in half. Aemond is watching what Daemon, the drama legend, is doing and taking notes. These two drama kings will face off… and the world will change.

Aemond’s most memorable moment in “The Lord of the Tides,” is when he makes a toast to insult his nephews. In a not so subtle jab at Harwin Strong (Ryan Corr), he calls them “handsome…strong” Drama king perfection is everything about this moment: starting with compliments and pausing before giving the final blow, seizing the opportunity to toast, pause oh so-intensely, and then delivering the fatal blow. It was like Aemond read my mind and found all the things I need in a chaotic side villain.

Jace (rightly punched Aemond in his face), but does Aemond appear fazed? No. He shoves Jace back, and all this without any wine spilling. Cersei Lannister, a well-known wine lover, would be amazed.

Aemond’s toast spoils the conciliatory feast King Viserys (Paddy Considine)He fought for his family in his final hours of life. Things were looking promisingly good for Alicent’s and Rhaenyra before he started to mock his nephews. I wouldn’t blame you if you yelled at him to shut up while watching the episode — I certainly did. Because of him, the tensions between the Targaryen kids are higher than ever before they entered the Dance of the Dragons. It is difficult to cause so much conflict with just a few words. It is something I admire. Keep it up, Aemond. Never Do you have any questions about your parents? I would love to know. What to do next.
