Alex Jones Said He’s Done Saying Sorry for Sandy Hook Misinformation

  • Jones claimed that he was done apologizing to Jones for spreading conspiracy theories concerning the Sandy Hook massacre.
  • Christopher Mattei, Attorney, had asked Jones to show some respect for the families of victims.

Alex Jones, a far-right conspiracy theorist, told a jury that he was “done”, saying sorry for his baseless conspiracy theories regarding the Sandy Hook massacre. 

On the stand, Jones lost his temper while being questioned by Christopher Mattei, an attorney for the plaintiffs — family members of Sandy Hook victims who are suing Jones for defamation.

Mattei Jones had been asked to “show some respect”To the “real people” (and the families of those children who were killed in the shooting), some of whom were present at the courtroom. 

Jones went on a tirade against “liberals”, accusing Mattei of “ambulance seeking.” 

“Is it a struggle session?” Are we in China now? He said, “I’ve already said I’m Sorry hundreds of times. I’m done saying that I’m sorry.” 

“I didn’t invent this. Jones said, “I wasn’t the first to say it.” The conspiracy theory that he spread that the Sandy Hook shooting was a false flag attack. 

He said, “I legitimately believed it might have been staged. And I stand by it and don’t apologize.”

Jones is currently being tried in Connecticut as well as Texas. Jurors will determine how much Jones must pay Sandy Hook families. In each case, he was found guilty of defamation. 

Jones was ordered by a Texas jury to pay $2,500 in August Damages of nearly $50 MillionJesse Lewis’s parents for claiming that the Sandy Hook massacre was a hoax.

Jones was tried in Texas. He acknowledged that he knew Sandy Hook was real but appeared to walk that back in his statements in court on Thursday.

His exaggerated speech on the stand He repeats his statements in an interview that aired earlier this year.He also claimed he was “done”, apologizing for spreading falsehoods about the shooting.
