On November 8, the US will hold its congressional elections in Alabama. At 7 p.m. CT, polls will close. 

Only one of Alabama’s US Senate seats is vacant This year’s election is open. Republican Katie Britt will be running against Will Boyd to replace Sen. Richard Shelby. Britt easily defeated Rep. Mo Brooks during the GOP primary held in June. Republicans hold the Senate seats.

Alabama currently has seven seats in US House of Representatives. Each seat is up for election. Six out of seven seats in the US House of Representatives are currently held by Republicans. One seat is held by Terri Sewell, a Democrat running for reelection within the 7th Congressional District.
