After ‘I Wasn’t Saying’ Certain Dinges, my connection with Obama was ‘faded’

  • Ye said that Obama had “failed” his relationship with him after he “went against what he was supposed as a rapper”
  • Tucker Carlson was interviewed by Ye to discuss Obama’s favorite artist.
  • Ye spoke about how he met Obama when he was running for the presidency in 2008.

Ye, a rapper, said Friday that his connection to former President Barack Obama “failed” after he diverted from the “rapes he should be saying” during an interview.

During a talk with Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson, Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, detailed his long history with Obama — who served as a United States Senator representing Illinois before his election as president in 2008.

The rapper stated that Obama was his favorite artist. “Obama met me and my mama to tell us that he was running in 2008 for office and that he needed our support.”

He said, “And everyone was so ‘in” to this idea of a Black president. We were always cool. It’s also like… How many of you are there? Obama level? Ye level? Virgil [Abloh] level? Only Black, so brilliant, we cut through all lines of racism.”

Ye stated that Black men were well-known around the world and at the tops of both the music and political worlds.

“In some place, we’d have to be friends and get along, because it’s like — you’re at that level,” he said. You’re like Formula One Lewis Hamilton’s race car driver. While we are still driving white cars, we were some of the greatest race car drivers to ever exist.”

He said, “That was me and Obama’s connection. But as soon as I was not saying what I was supposed as a rapper, my connection faded.”

Ye stated that Obama had not spoken to him in recent times, but did not hesitate to tell Obama what he’d do for the future.

He said that he would talk to the former president if he saw him. “But I can assure you that he will see me.”

The Saturday rapper Tore intoMark Zuckerberg (Facebook founder) claimed that his Instagram account was disabled. criticizedA number of Jewish groups have been contacted by him over remarks he made regarding Jared Kushner (ex-White House senior advisor) that were perceived as “anti Jewish”.
