After a rough start to the game, Notre Dame QB Drew Pyne is ripped off by the offensive coordinator

The season started off rough for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

After losing by two-digits to Ohio State in ColumbusIn what was widely considered to be a win-win situation, Marshall hosted the Irish to open the season.

Instead, Marshall stunned the entire world26-21.

This loss saw them drop from the 8th-ranked team to the 25th.

In desperate need of a lift Saturday’s launch did not go according to plan.

The first four drives saw them go three and out. Drew Pyne lost his fifth pass on their fifth drive. South Bend’s Golden Bears took advantage and scored a touchdown in the ensuing drive for a 70 lead.

NO. 8 NOTRE DAME STUNNED INSIDE UPSET LOSS TO UNRANKED MARSHALL AT HOME

After one of three-and-outs Pyne called Tommy Rees (offensive coordinator), to get on the phone. Rees was calling the plays upstairs and Pyne was snubbed.

Rees was also on the phone, telling someone to do their f—ing jobs.

It ran just 16 yards total offense in its first five drives.

Notre Dame has not been rankedFor the first time since 2017, it is now 0-2.

Last week Marcus Freeman was the initial coachHe is the only Notre Dame player to lose three of his first three games. His first game was January’s Fiesta Bowl.

Rees was Notre Dame’s starting quarterback between 2010 and 2013.
