Accessories for the House of the Dragon, ranked

In House of the DragonFashion is a powerful thing. Look no further Alicent Hightower was all but declaring civil warfare with one green dressThis caused the court to split into the Greens (those that support Alicent), and the Blacks, (those that support Rhaenyra).

What about smaller accessories? These include crowns, masks, and other small accessories. House of the Dragon You can speak as loud as the characters’ colors. There’s only one thing you can do when presented with an impressive collection of fantasy accessories.

15 of my favorite accessories were featured in Season 1. House of the Dragon In order to crown the overall winner. Each of these pieces is deeply associated with a particular character, are important to the plot or simply have amazing vibes. Full disclosure: Vibes are more important than everything in my ranking system. In case your favorite accessory didn’t make the cut, you have been warned. These are the worst and best accessories, sorted from worst to most. House of the Dragon accessories, ranked.

Dishonorable mention Criston Cole’s disguise cap

Criston should be more aggressive in his hat game.

Although this hat is not a staple in Ser Criston Cole’s wardrobe, it was a big chuckle for me when it made an appearance in episode 9. This hat is not very attractive and the disguise is terrible. Criston took the hat that made him sound like a “peasant”, and threw it on his head. Criston, sorry to disappoint, but even a hat can’t hide your very punchy face.

15. Otto Hightower’s Hand Pin

You have to give it to him…

The Hand of the King pin is a historical accessory that holds a lot of historical significance. It’s not new to us, however. Game of ThronesThis is not something new. It’s unfortunate that Otto Hightower, a notorious schemer, wears the pin throughout the entire show. You will. Never Otto, be Ned Stark! I’ll grant you the right to outlive him even though you’re smart enough and dishonorable.

14. Necklaces by Alicent Hightower

The Queen of Seven Kingdoms and of the Color Green

Although I cannot count Alicent’s “the color green”, which we all know Alicent has, as an accessory, I can count her seven-pointed star pendants when she is queen. These are not always apparent, but they serve to remind her of her faith in the Seven. The seven-pointed star combination with the Hightowers redecoration Red Keep with religious paraphernalia emits a more religious fundamentalist vibe that anything else. Although I don’t love Alicents jewelry, I do love her dresses. Gorgeous gowns.

13. Daemon Targaryens crown

Driftwood is hot right now.

When Daemon makes his grand Return to King’s Landing Crabfeeder killedThe crown he wears is very unique. The King of the Narrow Sea has no iron or gold: His crown is made from driftwood. Sustainable! Sustainable! But I still have questions. Is this something Daemon had to have made for him by someone? Perhaps he took part in an arts & crafts session while riding back from the Stepstones on the dragon.

12. Aemma Arryn’s ring

A queen who deserved better.

We don’t see a lot of it. Aemma Arryn‘s ring — a simple gold ring with an Arryn falcon design — but the few times we do, it packs a tearful punch. Viserys kisses it shortly after Aemma passes away during a fatal and traumatic C-section. In episode 6, you can see him holding the ring and kissing it once more after learning of Rhaenyra’s departure from Dragonstone. This is as he remembers her mother and the horrific way she died. A small gold ring, which I think is Aemma’s, can be seen on Rhaenyra throughout the episode. It is possible that she gave the ring to her father as a memento when she left Dragonstone. This small thing has such profound emotional significance.

11. Aegon II Targaryen’s crown

Or, you can return it to the place where it came from.

Aegon II, King of Westeros is not crowned with the gold crown of Viserys his father. He instead wears the iron crown that his father, Aegon II, has given him, Aegon Conqueror. It is a beautiful balance between royal and intimidating, which is a credit to the crown. The fact that the crown was placed upon the head of a weurper in a coup discredits it many. Many places. Aegon II is not as good as Aegon I and certainly doesn’t deserve his crown.

10. Rhaenys Targaryen’s Bump-It

This is why her hair is full of Bump-Its.

Bump-Its? These are the inserts that you put underneath your hair to give it unnatural volume. Rhaenys is sporting whatever Westerosi equivalent to that because her hair looks like this. Elevated She can take it off her head. This makes for a striking hairstyle that recalls the crown she never wore when she was the Queen Who Never Was. As with Daemon’s Driftwood Craft Session I love Rhaenys’s image of her putting some Bump-It in her hair. It’s working, no matter what she’s doing.

9. Larys Strong’s cane

“Murder my family?” Who, me?”

Kinslaying creep Larys StrongHis cane is used as both a mobility aid, and as a way to promote his personal brand. The pommel of the cane is decorated with a firefly. That’s not the sigil of House Strong — it’s his own personal sigil. Larys might be the most vicious of snakes but I love his dedication to creating a sinister public image and branching out from his family. What do you not appreciate about me? He murdered his family and treated Alicent with deplorable. Bad Larys. (Cool cane, though.)

8. Viserys and Rhaenyra Targaryens crown

A crown fit for a queen

Viserys’ third and final crown is the one that was later gifted to Rhaenyra, by Ser Erryk Cargyll. This crown was originally worn by King Jaehaerys and is now the number one “crown”. It is the one we spend the most time watching on TV. We also see Rhaenyra pass it down in the finale. It took 10 episodes to build up to see the rightful Queen Westeros take her father’s crown. The moment is inspiring despite the difficult circumstances. Major praise should also go to Erryk for pulling off this heist.

7. Daemon Targaryen’s Murder Cloak

Dressed. To. Kill.

Daemon is a master at accessorizing for any occasion. However, he is more attentive when he is plotting something sinister. It doesn’t matter if he is executing his first wife Rhea, or planning the “death” Laenor Velaryon. You can bet that he will be wearing his trusty murder Cloak. The cloak’s dramatic flair is often imitated — looking at you, Aemond — but never replicated.

6. Viserys Targaryen’s Valyrian steel dagger

This scene! This dagger! It’s all great.

It turns out that the Valyrian steel dagger is actually that Arya Stark used the Night King as a weaponIn Game of ThronesHas quite the Targaryen history. As Viserys shows Rhaenyra in House of the DragonIn the first episode of’s season, the text on the dagger describes Aegon, the Conqueror’s prophetic dream. He calls it “the Song of Ice and Fire.” One of the most intense scenes in the season is also centered around the dagger: Alicent’s attempt at removing Lucerys from his eye as retribution for Aemond. Cool-looking dagger which proves to be crucial to the plot. This is a great accessory.

5. Daemon Targaryen’s sword Dark Sister

This sword has a lot history.

Daemon’s Dark Sister sword joins the Valyrian Steel dagger in the “cool guns club”. House of the Dragon The history of the blade has not been explored in depth, but it is one ancestral Targaryen weapon. Visenya, Aegon’s sister and wife, used it during the conquest of Westeros. Now, Daemon uses it to take down the Crabfeeder and slice the heads off of anyone who speaks out against Rhaenyra — clearly, it’s still sharp.

4. Rhaenyra’s necklace

Only a good uncle-niece gift

Episode 1: Daemon gives Rhaenyra the Valyrian Steel necklace so that she can bring a piece of their ancestral land. Rhaenyra takes to wearing the necklace everywhere, highlighting her connection to — and later love of — Daemon. Although I don’t like the incest, I love the foreshadowing power jewelry has.

3. Mask of the Crabfeeder

The Crabfeeder realizes that you need to look good when terrorizing Stepstones.

Craghas Dharahar, also known by the CrabfeederIt was House of the DragonHe was the first major villain and set the standard. We didn’t really know much about him. But we did know that he left vanquished soldiers on the beach for the crabs, which is a pretty good thing. You might recognize his mask with gold horns as a Sons of the Harpy mask. Game of Thrones. Although it may have kept his identity secret, it created a villainous persona that would last a lifetime.

2. Viserys Targaryen’s gold mask

Is your face rotting? Have you ever tried a gold mask?

In episode 8, Viserys borrows a page of the Crabfeeder book. House of the DragonWhen he arrives at court, he wears a half-mask of gold. As we see later in the episode, the mask is covering the rotting side of his face and his empty eye socket — a truly beautiful solution for a very gnarly problem. Paddy Considine, Viserys actor acknowledged the dramatic power and beauty of the mask in an interview. behind-the-scenes videoIn his mask, he struts about the Throne Room, twirling his cane, and declaring that he is “serving Targaryen trueness.” It looks amazing.

1. Aemond Targaryen’s eye patch and sapphire combo

Ameond provides elite accessorizing

The best and most stylish accessory. House of the Dragon It is a two-for-one deal. Aemond TargaryenAs a boy, he loses one eye and decides to “You know What? I will use this opportunity to create drama.” He is elegantly covered in leather and stalks around King’s Landing. This eye patch gives him a frightening look that strikes fear into the hearts all who see him.

There’s more! As the finale reveals there’s more! an icy blue sapphire. Aemond has been casually hiding a valuable stone in his eye socket since entire episodes. He is skilled at dramatic timing and the reward is spectacular. Aemond, please take a bow. That Accessorizing is all about how you style it. We hope you can start a Westerosi fashion trend that sees everyone dress up like scary bejewelled pirates.
