Katie Long noticed someone waving a hand while driving to Mountain View Arkansas for the weekend.
A kitten stood scaredly in the street.
Katie Long told us, “I stood there in shock for a little while and then we pulled her off the road to try to figure out what to do.
As they continue to search the small hamlet, Long begins to lose hope that the kitten’s mother is still around. Long continued to help the worried kitten who was unable to leave her mother’s side.
We looked everywhere, but we couldn’t find a mom,” Long remarked. When I laid her down, she came back to me crying. This made me so sad.
Long visited a nearby base shop and asked people eating outside if they knew any lost cats. Unfortunately, they didn’t know anything.
Long stated, “Everyone looked at me like I was crazy.”
Long understood that she would have to abandon the kitten at a local animal shelter. As she was searching for shelter, she saw a man walk up to her mailbox from the corner of her eyes. She knew he had the solution.
According to Mrs. Long, we stopped and I jumped out the car and held her. “I asked him if he knew where his family was. Oh yeah, I think Bill’s cat just had kittens,” he said.
Shortly thereafter, the family was reunited with the cat.
The kitten’s mother was thrilled to have her little one back home.
Long noticed three cats in Long’s yard upon our arrival. One looked suspiciously like Long. After I placed her down, her mom started to feed and bathe her.

Long is delighted that the kitten is now back home and that she was able help save an animal.
