Timing is crucial in rescue cases. The rescuers are able to save newborn puppies in a ticking clock situation. The first few weeks of a puppy’s life are critical, and proper nutrition is essential to their well-being and growth.
People who found an abandoned female dog and gave birth to her on the streets knew that they needed to act fast if they wanted to save their entire family. After giving birth to six puppies, the mama dog was exhausted. She didn’t have the strength to care for her new babies.
Sadly, two of those puppies didn’t make it. The rescuers would make sure that the rest of the puppies survived. Avoid this tragic fate
Poor Mom Doesn’t Trust Her Rescuers
It was difficult to gather the dogs, as the mother dog, who is scared and worn down, showed aggression towards rescuers. Although she was wearing a collar, they concluded that she had been abandoned some time ago.
Dogs abandoned by their owners often experience fear aggression and anxiety.Through no fault of their own. The mama was so traumatized that she snapped at rescuers while they tried to get the pups. They sensed her fear and knew she didn’t trust strangers.
They managed to get the entire family off the streets eventually. Although they had a difficult start, the four dogs had one another to lean on.
Another hungry family eats again
The rescue team provided shelter for the mama dog. With proper nutritionWith water, she gained her strength back. After a while, she was able give her puppies the milk that they so desperately needed. For the first four weeks, their mother’s milk is the only nutrition puppies receive.
The pups, who were previously unable to feed themselves, grew larger. They opened their eyes for first time shortly after. Mama dog remained “skittish,” but felt much better with food of her own to eat.
These dogs would not have been saved if rescuers reached them much later. It is unknown how many puppies would have survived.. Adult dogs can also find it difficult to survive on the streets. This mom was probably hungry before she gave birth to her litter.
