A small, unwanted dog approaches a stranger for food and receives a new life.

Stuart Little was a victim of the odds. Stuart Little was just five-pounds when his former owners took him outside to die.

He then wandered Los Angeles streets for three months looking for his human companions.

Stuart could not get enough rest as he was always in survival mode. He was alert at night and searched for food all day, often approaching people to beg for help.

Stuart found himself in the neighborhood, looking for food. He raised his head towards the tall man to at least get some food. This was something he had been doing for the past few months. He didn’t know how dramatically his life would change.

When Stuart Little was confronted by the policeman, he realized that the dog needed assistance. He called Logan’s Legacy Rescue’s founder, Suzette Hall, and inquired about the availability of one additional dog. Hall jumped into her car and sped out to Stuart’s place.

Stuart was tired when Hall brought him home, but he was happy to be safe.

Hall said, “When I got him in the car, he literally climbed over the center console and crawled into my lap. He slept like that the entire night.”

Hall took Stuart to his veterinarian the next day. Apart from being severely underweighted, and covered with fleas (the only serious ailments the pup had), Hall took Stuart to the veterinarian. Stuart Little was happy to be adopted by a loving foster family after a thorough bath and a new feeding plan.

Stuart Little is currently in foster custody and available for adoption. Stuart is enjoying this stage in his life, even though he still awaits his happy ending.

“His foster says that he is just the happiest boy ever,” Hall added.

Stuart lives with his foster sibling, a dog he adores, in a foster home. Stuart loves his foster mom and all their fun activities, but his new sanctuary is his favorite.

“He loves his little crate,” according to Hall. “He goes into it every night and just falls asleep silently, quietly, with a full belly.”
