A small dog with a huge tumor who was put down for euthanasia deserves the best life.

Vet Ranch and dedicated rescuers gave a dog with an enormous tumor on its side a second chance at her life. Hattie’s callous owners had let the tumor grow for two years before finally surrendering her to a shelter in Texas where she was put to sleep.

A group called Dallas Dog Rescue Rehab Reform said that Hattie “may be the worst owner surrender we have taken in.”

Immediately, Hattie was rushed to Vet Ranch, where she was examined by Dr. Karri, who stated that she had never seen a tumor of Hattie’s size on a dog before. The tumor was described by Dallas Dog RRR as a bowling ball.

Hattie visited Dr. Karri, who noticed that Hattie was wobbling unsteadily from the tumor’s weight. It was also mentioned by Dr. Karri that Mattie could use it as a beanbag seat and then lie down on top of it. Incredulous, right?

Dr. Karri was both anxious and delighted before she operated on Hattie. (Note: The video below doesn’t contain any graphic imagery. Hattie looks completely different after her surgery. The tumor weighed in at 15 pounds.

Hattie’s recuperation was hard, but she eventually entered foster care.

She was saved and her saviors helped find her a loving, permanent home.

Hattie nearly died due to neglect by her owner. However, the story of Hattie’s rescue has a happy end.
