German shepherds are herding dogs by nature and thrive when they protect their pack. Separation from their humans can cause them distress. Their dog will wait for their owner every day, regardless of whether they are deployed, on vacation or in the hospital.
Take Rocky, a German shepherd who lost his owner David for five months. Rocky was surprised when David returned to the yard and met him there. Rocky was taken aback to see David again after such a long time and wasn’t prepared for this. The reunion begins by opening the backdoor.
Rocky walks around the yard and notices a man wearing sweatshirts standing in the back. Rocky begins to follow the man, even though he is a bit confused.
