Merseyside police confirmed that they received a complaint about alleged criminal damage to the Manchester City team bus following the club’s Premier League defeat by LiverpoolSunday
City claims that the team bus leaving Anfield was hit by an object, which caused the windscreen of their bus to crack.
Merseyside police said that a complaint had been filed on Tuesday. They appealed for further information.
A statement read: “We have now received a report of an alleged criminal damage of the Manchester City team coach following the Liverpool and Manchester City game on Sunday 16 October.
“The incident of alleged damage to the windscreen was reported to us yesterday, Tuesday 18 October, and further enquiries are ongoing.”
