A small puppy, abandoned in the park, was found wrapped in a blanket. The Sacramento SPCA rescued him and took him to Sacramento. He was rejected by his family because he looked different. It turned out that something was wrong with his brain. This condition is called cerebellar hypoplasia. He would eventually find a family who loved him exactly as he is.

Petey’s rescuers didn’t give up on him, even when it seemed hopeless. He began to make progress with physical therapy and lots of love. He can now eat on his own and play like a normal puppy.

But none of Petey’s problems ever mattered to his new parents. They’re as happy as can be with their new pup and providing him with everything he needs to live the perfect life! They just can’t believe someone didn’t want the sweet boy. But it’s as they say — one man’s “trash” is another man’s treasure.
