Apple Monday release a small version of its iPhone X iOS 16.0.3 updateThis should be the last thing before. iOS 16.1This update will arrive later in the month. This update fixes several issues with the iPhone 14 as well as the Mailjack bug.
According to the release notes, most of the fixes pertain to Apple’s newest phones and include “bug fixes and important security updates.” Among the changes are an overdue fix for a slow launching Camera app that has been an issue since the new phones launched on September 16. These are the updates for the iPhone 14:
- iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro max may not deliver incoming call notifications or app notifications.
- Low microphone volume may occur when making CarPlay phone calls with iPhone 14 models
- iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro max may take a while for the camera to launch or change modes.
Only one security fix was included in the update. It is for the Mailjack bugThis can cause an endless loop of crashes when you open a message from an account that is not properly formatted.
Open the Settings app on iPhone to update to iOS 16.0.3. GeneralAnd then Security Update. Next, tap Download and installWait for the update to complete.
