9 burning questions for Season 2 of ‘Wednesday’. We can’t wait!

It’s hard to imagine anything more painful than enduring adolescence as a giant monster slashes its way through your classmates. Wednesday Season 1 is over.

Tim Burton’s creepy take on the TV series and its protagonist, the goth teen protagonist, sent viewers into a whodunnit frenzy for eight episodes. It provoked us to yarn-walled Sherlockery faster than an Addams double snap. We weren’t the only ones who were affected. Netflix breaks a record WednesdayWith 341.23 Million hours of viewing in its first week, it beats Stranger ThingsFor any English-language television series, the longest number of hours viewed per week.

Although Netflix hasn’t officially renewed the series, Season 2 will be available on Netflix. According to reports, the cast and showrunners are on board. Those viewership numbers aren’t lying.

Yes, Season 1’s The monster mystery was solved. The season finale left us with some major questions. Who is Wednesday’s stalker?”Is it possible that the sparks between Wednesday’s and Enid are igniting more? Who will be Nevermore’s new principal?” What’s the deal with Bianca and her scam cult mother? Cousin Itt is what the heck?

We (hello Mashable’s Yasmeen Hamadeh here and Shannon Connellan hier!) we teamed up together to dissect the loose threads WednesdayIdentify and speculate on the burning questions for Season 2.

Who is Wednesday’s stalker?”

Who among you…

While Wednesday’s monster mystery hunt may have been solved, things aren’t exactly sunshine and rainbows for Nevermore Academy’s top detective. (Is it ever?) The finale of season 3 ends with a cliffhanger that reveals Wednesday is being followed by a mysterious third-party. Although she uses the opportunity to tease the audience about the murder suspense, we might be able to guess who the stalker could actually be.

All indications point to the stalker as a Nevermore student or teacher. You can Read our theories about the identity of the stalker. However, we know that whatever the stalker was, they were likely helping Season 1’s big bad Wolves. Ms. Thornhill is Christina Ricci, Tyler is Hunter Doohan.. WednesdayThe second season of’s could focus on identifying their whereabouts, and possibly putting an end the normie-vs.-outcast debate. It is certain that Nancy Drew, our gothic Nancy Drew, will be there to see it all. —Yasmeen Hamadeh, Entertainment Intern

Who will be Nevermore’s new principal?

Weems! We didn’t know you.

The shocking finale ended with Principal Weems’ (Gwendoline Chris) death by poisoning from Ms. Thornhill. This was despite the fact that she had been a shapeshifting double cross. Nevermore will be without its powerful leader. They’ll have to make serious hiring decisions over the holiday season.

Who will become the new principal at Nevermore Academy It’s likely that it will be someone we’ve never met. Although the show did not specifically mention who would fill the role, it is likely that they will be an outcast, perhaps with powers.

I would suggest Morticia Addams, Weems’s former roommate (Catherine Zeta Jones), for the job. But Wednesday could see me hanging, drawn and quartered for such an idea. They’ll be having a lot of trouble convincing everyone if the new principal is a normie with the intention to continue Weems’s quest for unity between Nevermore & Jericho. Maybe a siren’s mom might “persuade” her to accept the job. — Shannon Connellan, UK Editor

Will Tyler come back?

It makes sense to keep Tyler around in Season 2, but he may not be the main villain.

It is interesting to consider that his last scene was him turning into an actor. hydeTyler is still alive and well, even though he’s in a vehicle with a monitor. His hyde transforms are clearly still triggered after his humiliating defeat. But will he still be the main character of next season?

Although Tyler is a good choice for Season 2, he may not be the main antagonist. We all know that we have the stalker to contend with. WednesdayThere are many questions unanswered. Tyler could be an integral part of answering them, but he is not the central puppet master behind these questions.

A new season brings new characters and we are hoping they will be a good fit for our show. WednesdayThe unexpected path leads to new plot twists, and more players. Tyler’s defeat is crucial in stopping more monster attacks from Nevermore and Jericho. But, Tyler’s father, Jericho’s sheriff makes the details of his confinement even more hazy. We may never know. Tyler might have a redemption story, learn to forgive and accept himself as a person. He might still be a threat that Wednesday must stop. We know that he will most likely return next season. There are many possibilities and endless outcomes. — Y.H.

What is going to happen to Bianca, the Morning Song cult, and Bianca?

Morning Song is still available.

Bianca Barclay (Joy Sunday), started the series as Nevermore’s Queen Bee and Wednesday’s schoolyard enemy. But, this siren ended the series as the ultimate hero. She still has to face her demons, including the family she fled and her former identity of Brandy Jane Barclay.

Gabrielle, Bianca’s siren mother Gabrielle (Gracy Goldenman), made a brief appearance in Season 1. But she scared us to our core.

Bianca’s parents revealed Bianca’s birth name and that she used her siren songs to get into Nevermore Academy. We know Bianca grew up in and escaped a “personal development movement” (*cough* cult) known as Morning Song, which was led by Gabrielle and a man named Gideon who Gabrielle has since married — making him Bianca’s stepfather.

Gabrielle threatened Bianca to tell her secrets if she did not return to Morning Song. Gabrielle claimed that Bianca’s siren power was declining, that recruitment was down, as well as asking questions about the cult. Morning Song’s low-key intrusion into Jericho was obvious as soon as Bianca had Lucas Walker, Iman Marson, convince him to delete his self-help app. He’d downloaded it after he met Gabrielle briefly.

We are yet to see what happens to Bianca’s turbulent relationship with her mother. Gideon, Gabrielle and Morning Song could be the villains of next season. Gideon and Gabrielle could be the next principal at Nevermore, using their position of power to manipulate Nevermore students and steal school wealth. They might choose to start with Jericho where normie brains can be washed. — S.C.

Is Wednesday going to have a girlfriend in the next season?

Wednesday + Enid4eva

“Wednesday Addams. You know who you’re.” Our macabre protagonist and Enid (Emma Myers), spent the season shaming men who weren’t worthy, but it doesn’t matter much. We all witnessed their chemistry. We watched Enid struggle to lift Wednesday from her despair, and Wednesday tried her hardest to keep her eyes open when Enid slept with another woman. After their final battles against Tyler and Crackstone, we all gasped with joy when they hugged. (Wednesday’s first-everWe must remind you to hug. They are a match made for opposites-attract heaven. I can’t imagine a better black-meets–pink couple. Will Netflix really give us what we want?

We can’t be certain, but we know that Netflix’s Twitter account is hiding comments suggesting that Wednesday is gayThis suggests that the’ship could remain strictly platonic. A wrong decision? Absolutely. Wednesday’s queerness is a natural part of her character. It doesn’t take away from existing canon. It would actually highlight the Addams Family’s reputation as being more progressive than their community and neighbors.

Wednesday and Enid, as a romantic pair, would mean that a Netflix show would place a sapphic couple at the center of a Netflix series. This is a refreshing change for the streamer. And you already know that diehard romantics Gomez and Morticia (Luis Guzmán and Catherine Zeta-Jones) would be thrilled for Wednesday to fall in love. So here’s to a Season 2 that’s hopefully a lot gayer than this one; we sure know it’s needed. —Y.H.

What is going to happen with Xavier?”

Xavier, Wednesday and possibly other people have been texting throughout the summer.

He’s Nevermore’s heartthrob and the president of Wednesday’s fan club, but where is Xavier’s (Percy Hynes White) character arc headed?

We now know that Xavier I was wrongly accusedWe still have many questions. Xavier was having visceral visions about the monster. What’s the deal with those intricate drawings? And will his visions be further explored in Season 2 — possibly with the introduction of his famous seer father?

Wednesday will have to deal with Xavier’s unusual ability to bring his drawings alive. His entire studio is covered in hyde paints, which can’t possibly be a good sign. We know he’s Team Wednesday, but his lifelike drawings gone wrong could become a fruitful narrative twist in WednesdayNext season.

Xavier, despite his doubtable powers and their possible role in Wednesday’s relationship, is still a big question mark. Some are shipping Wednesday with Enid (the right decision), while others root for Xavier. They might spend the remainder of their semester learning from Xavier about appropriate GIF usage and cute emoji usage. Netflix may know something is up and will provide some Wednesday and Enid content in the next season. This one can be sat out by Xavier. (We still love him.) — Y.H.

We will see more gorgons and vampires.

We need more Stoners and Fangs.

We were able to hear the sirens’ vocal power and Enid’s long-awaited full-wolf-out in the finale. Wednesdaylacked any gorgon or vampire action. Enid spoke of the pre-Poe Cup sabotage that involved the garlic bread in the cafeteria. But we didn’t get to really discuss it. See moreThe vampire students are anything but cool. Burton might be trying to avoid being compared with the slew of vampire movies and TV shows, but it’s possible that the vamps are hoping for their big bloodsucking moment on Season 2.

On the other head, er, hand — gorgons! We’d love to see more gorgon-themed shows. There are very few.

CharmedThe story of Medusa actually addresses the issue of sexual assault, which is often forgotten. A one-time episodeThe pre-launch of Netflix.WednesdayWitchy series The chilling adventures of SabrinaVanessa Rubio’s gorgon character Nagaina, a Gorgon, was doing all kinds gorgon-y shit. All we saw of the Stoners was Ajax (Georgie Farmer) accidentally turning himself into stone by looking in his bathroom mirror and standing up Enid in the process — and not even apologizing for it? It’s just one text, dude.

Where were the gorgons in the final battle of Season 1? They could have frozen Tyler “Hyde”, Galpin and Joseph Crackstone in a matter of seconds if every gorgon at Nevermore had united. But they didn’t. Nothing! Enid was single-pawed against that dude! According to Greek mythology, gorgons had wings and could turn anyone to stone with just a glance. Let’s watch Ajax fly! — S.C.

Will we see more of Nevermore?

You can also study other subjects at Nevermore.

Nevermore is fertile soil for wonderful world-building,We hope to be able to see more of the academy’s day-to-day activities next season. The academy offers fencing and herbology classes. But what about drama, literature or P.E.? With Edgar Allan PoeWe know from experience that Nevermore English classes would contain a lot of poignant prose and gothic texts. Wednesday also wants to be a published writer — despite what those tasteless editors say. It would be amazing to see Wednesday fulfill the bond that we all shared with our English teachers at high school.

How wild can Nevermore classes get, despite their realistic schedules? We can only hope that the Hogwarts-gone–goth prep school will offer lessons in the macabre as well as potions for when we’re in a pickle. It also offers fortune telling, witchcraft and other arts. Nevermore offers a wealth of magical education opportunities. We hope Season 2 will take full advantage. — Y.H.

Cousin Itt where the heck is that?

Itt interrupts Uncle Fester’s wedding in “Addams Family Values”

Cousin itt, the hairiest Addams, was only mentioned once by Fester, Fred Armisen, in Season 1. Itt didn’t physically appear in the series — the only core Addams Family member not to. Lurch did have three scenes that were characteristically silent, but Itt was not even there. Episode 7: Wednesday and Fester search the Nightshade Library in search of Nathaniel Faulkner’s diary. They come across a portrait that shows one Iggy Itt. However, it is unclear if this is an Addams relative. The Itt is certain because of the full head of hair.

Cousin Itt is typically portrayed as a living hairball; in the ’60s TV series, Itt wore a bowler hat and sunglasses — so you would know where their face is, I guess? In Addams Family ValuesItt has a baby and it’s doing well. it’s adorable. If Season 2 allows for an Itt adventure, as they did with Uncle Fester’s, I will give my bowler hat to them. Please, just one beautiful brushing scene. — S.C.
